At a tough Brooklyn Housing Project, in East New York, Brooklyn, the walls close in on 12-year old Solly, as he attempts to negotiate his way through bullies, police, and parents.
Rescued, finally, by a difficult Dad, to Coney Island, a poor-man’s paradise, Solly finds a new life among a group of outsider handball players, where he discovers an intriguing girl, a way to finally connect to his Dad, an affinity for a sport, and maybe even his own happiness.
