Outtakes - A Screenplay

Walls & Balls - A Series Pilot

Walls & Balls - A Series Pilot

Three down-on-their-luck wedding videographers find out that they can make more money with their outtakes than the good stuff - if only they can keep their famous client, a gang of Russians, and the FBI off their backs.

This is a loving homage to the great comedians and comic writers of films as well as the ultimate face-off between the corrupt, rich, powerful "haves" and the scrappy, creative "have-nots.

Written by Ken Klein and Irwin Hahn.

At a tough Brooklyn Housing Project, in East New York, Brooklyn, the walls close in on 12-year old Solly, as he attempts to negotiate his way through bullies, penalties and parents.

Rescued, finally, by a difficult Dad, to Coney Island, a poor-man’s paradise, Solly finds a new life among a group of outsider handball players, where he discovers an intriguing girl, a way to finally connect to his Dad, an affinity for a sport, and maybe his own happiness.

All of which are put at risk by a newly revealed threat.

It's a story of a working class family barely getting by - and the hopes and dreams of all - in the suffocating Housing Projects of Brooklyn, NY.

It also profiles a now gone and barely remembered group of handball players in Coney Island, Brooklyn, who transcended their quarreling and trash talk to face the threats of gentrification and "urban renewal".
